TUCSON, Ariz. – The 13-seeded Arizona Wildcats (48-13) closed out their season at the Tucson Regional. The Wildcats won the first game of the day, 10-1 in five innings, against Ole Miss to force game 7. Arizona then fell, 7-3, in the second game.

Arizona run-ruled Ole Miss in game 6 of the Tucson Regional to force game 7. The Wildcats scored 10 runs on 12 hits and hit two home runs in the victory.
Sydney Stewart led the team with three RBI while
Kaiah Altmeyer,
Dakota Kennedy, and
Regan Shockey all recorded two hits.
The Wildcats came out strong, scoring four runs in the top of the first to take an early lead over the Rebels.
Devyn Netz drove in the first run with a double to left center. Stewart extended Arizona's lead to 4-0 with a three-run shot to right center – her 19th home run of the season.
Ole Miss plated one on a solo home run in the bottom of the first.
Arizona scored three more to extend the Wildcats' lead to 7-1 in the second inning. Kennedy drove in a pair with a triple down the right field line and then slid home to score on a fielder's choice from Shockey.
In the third, Shockey recorded her second RBI of the game when she drove
Tayler Biehl home with a single to left field.
The Cats extended their lead over the Rebels to 10-1 in the fourth.
Kaiah Altmeyer hit her fifth home run of the season to drive in two runs.
In the circle,
Miranda Stoddard threw a gem, allowing just one run to score on five hits while striking out two Rebels.
Game 2 | Ole Miss 7, 13-seed Arizona 3
The Cats fell in game 7 to Ole Miss, 7-3, on Sunday night at the Tucson Regional.
Arizona recorded nine hits but only plated three runs. Shockey led the offense with three hits.
Ole Miss opened the game with four runs in the first inning on a pair of two-run home runs.
In the bottom of the first, Arizona answered with two runs. Altmeyer drove in the first run with a single to left field and Stoddard drew a bases-loaded walk to bring the second run across.
The Rebels took a 6-2 lead in the third. A solo home run led off the inning and a sacrifice fly brought in the second run.
Sydney Stewart hit a solo home run in the bottom of the third to cut into the Rebels' lead.
In the fourth, Ole Miss took a four-run lead with a solo home run to make it a 7-3 game.
The rest of the game was scoreless but Arizona had chances to score.
Netz picked up the loss to drop to 22-6 on the season. She pitched the firt two innings and allowed five runs to score on six hits.
Aissa Silva entered to pitch two innings and gave up two runs on three hits. Stoddard closed the game, pitching the final three innings and not allowing Ole Miss to score.
