OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Three Wildcats –
Dakota Kennedy,
Devyn Netz, and
Sydney Stewart – have been named NFCA All-Americans, announced by the association on Wednesday. Arizona's three selections are the program's most since 2021 and the most under head coach
Caitlin Lowe. Arizona is one of six programs this season with three or more All-Americans.
The three NFCA All-America honors brings Arizona's total to 114 in school history, tied with UCLA for the most selections all-time. The Wildcats have had 60 individual All-Americans in program history.
Netz and Stewart earned second-team honors while Kennedy was placed on the third team. This marks the second straight season that Kennedy is earning All-America honors, becoming the 32nd Arizona Wildcat to become a multi-time All-American. Netz and Stewart are All-Americans for the first time during their careers.
Second-team All-American
Devyn Netz – a first-time All-American – led Arizona with 68 RBI, 22 victories, seven complete games, two saves, and 118 strikeouts during her fifth year. She was second on the team with 19 home runs and maintained a 2.25 ERA in the circle – the lowest season ERA of her career. Additionally, Netz led the team with 23 multi-RBI games and had four solo shutouts. She led the Big 12 in walks allowed per seven innings (1.01) and ranked second in the conference in strikeout-to-walk ratio (5.36), RBI, victories, and RBI per game (1.15). Netz was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and earned NFCA All-West first team, All-Big 12 first team, and Big 12 All-Defensive honors.
Sydney Stewart, a second-team All-American, is receiving her first career All-America nod. The junior catcher finished the season with 20 home runs, 68 RBI, a .819 slugging percentage, 48 walks, and a .542 on-base percentage to lead the Wildcats in all categories. Stewart was second on the team with 56 runs scored and 19 multiple-RBI games. She finished the season ranked second in the Big 12 in RBI, walks per game (.80), on-base percentage, home runs, slugging percentage, and total bases (127). Stewart was named to the All-West first team and All-Big 12 first team this season.
Third-team All-American
Dakota Kennedy is earning her second straight All-America recognition. The junior left fielder closed out the season with a .444 batting average to lead Arizona and ranked second on the team with a .539 on-base percentage, 10 doubles, and seven stolen bases. Defensively, Kennedy recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in left field for the second straight season. Kennedy picked up first-team NFCA All-West Region, first-team Big 12, and Big 12 All-Defensive team honors.
