TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona star quarterback Noah Fifita has been selected to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation announced on Tuesday.

The Golden Arm Award, now in its 39th year, is presented annually to the top senior or upperclassman quarterback who is on track to graduate. The 2025 watch list features 58 of the nation's premier collegiate quarterbacks, including 10 from the Big 12 Conference.

For Fifita, this marks the second consecutive year he has been selected to the Golden Arm Award preseason watch list and follows his advancement to the award's Top 25 list last season.

Fifita, a California native, has cemented himself as one of the most prolific passers in program history in his three seasons with the Wildcats. Across 27 games in his collegiate career he has thrown for 5,955 yards and 44 touchdowns on a 65.2% completion rate. His 5,955 career passing yards and 44 touchdowns through the air are both the seventh best marks in program history. As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Fifita threw for 2,958 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging 246.5 yards per game.

Throughout the 2025 season the Golden Arm Award watch list will be narrowed to a group of semifinalists, then finalists, and finally one signal caller will take home the Golden Arm Award in December.
