Cats Camp: Run it Back

By Arizona Athletics

TUCSON, Ariz. — After enjoying their first off day of 2025 Fall Camp, the Arizona Wildcats returned to action on Sunday morning with an energetic practice.

The word of the day on Sunday was versatility. All three running backs that took the stage to speak with the assembled media embody the word, especially transfer back Ismail Mahdi, who was recently named to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, presented annually to the nation's most versatile player.

Whether it's breaking off big runs, pass protection, catching passes out of the backfield, or more, the Wildcats running backs room adds a dynamic aspect to Offensive Coordinator Seth Doege's offense.

Mahdi, Kedrick Reescano, and Quincy Craig, along with their position coach Alonzo Carter, spoke with the media following practice.

Their interviews, along with more notes and quotes from day four, can be found below.

All the guys that are in that room show that versatility that not only can they run the football that they can catch the ball and do different things with the ball in their hands.
