DALLAS, Texas.- Arizona Women's Tennis is back in action Saturday, opening a road doubleheader at SMU following weather-related cancellations at last weekend's ITA Kickoff Weekend.

The Wildcats were scheduled to compete at the ITA Kickoff Weekend last week, but weather conditions forced the cancellation of the event. As a result, Arizona welcomed the opportunity to add an additional match to the weekend schedule, with UT Arlington joining the slate as a late addition.

Arizona will begin the day against the SMU Mustangs, which features two ranked singles players in No. 46 Sophie Llewellyn and No. 106 Elena Mireles. The Mustangs do not have any ranked doubles teams in the latest rankings. Saturday morning's matchup presents an early-season challenge for Arizona against nationally ranked individual talent.

The Wildcats will return to the court in the afternoon to face the UT Arlington Mavericks. The Mavericks enter the weekend without any ranked singles or doubles players. Team rankings released in January placed none of the three programs inside the national top 25.

Both matches will be played at SMU, giving Arizona a full day of competition in Dallas.
