TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics opened the season with a win over Washington in McKale Center. The GymCats posted a 195.425 to beat the Huskies who scored a 194.650.

Arizona won four event titles during the meet. Ainsley Greever won vault with a 9.85 and Aubrey Krohnfeldt won bars with a 9.85.  Abigayle Martin posted a 9.85 to win vault and a 39.225 to win the all-around. Hillary Puleo won floor with a 9.90.

Vault
The GymCats kicked off the meet on vault where they secured a 48.85. Greever led off the rotation with a 9.825. Sophie Derr and Elizabeth LaRusso posted 9.775s while Martin scored a 9.75. Jessa Janicke rounded out the rotation with a 9.725.

Uneven Bars
In the second rotation, Arizona put up a 48.675 on bars. Krohnfeldt led the rotation with a 9.85 and Martin followed with a 9.775. Hillary Puleo made her collegiate debut with a 9.725 and Derr added a 9.70 for the Cats.

Balance Beam 
Arizona scored a 48.65 on beam. Gianna Lenczner opened the rotation with a 9.80. Martin led the GymCats with a 9.85 and Tirzah Wise added a 9.75.

Floor Exercise 
The Cats closed out the meet on floor with a 49.25. Strom led the Cats with a 9.925 to tie her career high on the event. Puleo followed with a 9.90 in her floor debut. Derr and Martin posted a pair of 9.85s. Krohnfeldt added a 9.725 to round out the rotation.
