TUCSON, Ariz.– Arizona Wildcats opened the day with a 4-1 victory over the Oregon Ducks before closing out the afternoon with a 5-0 sweep of the #19 Georgia State Panthers to round out the Cactus Classic.

The Wildcats started strong against Oregon, claiming four of five courts to secure the dual win.

Sadie Moore and Brooke Boyko earned the first point of the dual for Arizona with a dominant 21-12, 21-12 performance.

Stephanie Rondon and Adri Nieves Papaleo followed with a hard fought 23-21, 21-13 win to give the Cats another point.

Sophia Winter and Jamie Streit added another point with a 21-14, 21-19 straight-set win.

Regan Holmer and Carlie Cisneros battled in a three set contest, winning 21-10, 16-21, 15-11, to earn the SandCats fourth point.

Ashlyn Zilliken and Madeline Walker fell short for Arizona with a 17-21, 13-21, loss as Oregon earned its lone point of the match.

Arizona carried that momentum into its second match against #19 Georgia State, earning a huge 5-0 sweep.

Zilliken and Walker started the sweep for the Cats with a 21-15, 21-14 win.

Moore and Boyko earned the second point of the sweep with a 21-11, 21-16 win.

Holmer and Cisneros continued the momentum with a 22-20, 21-10 victory to earn the third point.

Winter and Streit handled their court with ease winning, 21-11, 21-13.

Rondon and Nieves closed out the sweep with another straight-set victory, 21-16, 21-19.
