TUCSON, Ariz. – The Cats wrapped up the regular season with a rivalry matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils. The men fell short 107 to 190, while the women dropped a close decision, 142 to 158.
Arizona showed depth across events, with multiple podium finishes throughout the meet in both swimming and diving. The women's 200 medley relay team started the meet off strong with a first-place win and a time of 1:36.11. Shortly after,
Duncan Henderson dominated the 100 back event.
Eleni Gewalt had an outstanding senior day, winning the 100 and 200 breast.
Julia Wozniak shined the sprint freestyle events, placing first in the 50 free and second in the 100 free.
Alexandre Desangles brought the heat in the 200 back with a time of 1:40.02.
Ava Sutphin won the 500 free to end the individual swimming events.
The diving team was spectacular on the boards today. Arizona swept all diving events against Arizona State.
Zara Ayazi, Big 12 Diver of the Week, won the 1-meter and 3-meter for the Cats.
Luke Hernandez secured a win in the 3-meter, and
Bo Bridges won the 1-meter event.
To end the meet, the women's 200 free relay team had a spectacular win against ASU.
