ATLANTA, Georgia – The women's team kicked off competition at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday, taking place at McAuley Aquatic Center.
Arizona competed in the 200-medley relay, placing 17th overall with a time of 1:36.31.
Lila Lillie led the relay squad in the 50 back with a time of 24.37, followed by
Eleni Gewalt's 26.88 breaststroke leg.
Maryam Sheikhalizadehkhanghah had a strong butterfly split of 23.41, and
Julia Wozniak ended the relay with a strong 50 free of 21.65.
The Cats are back competing tomorrow, with several individual events taking place.
Kayman Neal will make her NCAA Championship debut in the 200-meter freestyle event in the morning.
Eleni Gewalt will be competing in the 100 Breast at the NCAA Championships for a second time in her career.
Zara Ayazi will also be competing for a second time in the 1 Meter event. The 200 free relay will also be taking place during finals on Thursday.
