TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona senior golfer Filip Jakubcik has been selected as the Big 12 Conference's Golfer of the Week after his performance the past week at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate. Jakubcik finished in second out of 81 players, helping to lead Arizona to its eighth title in the past nine years at the event.

The weekly conference honor is the first of Jakubcik's since Arizona joined the Big 12. It marks the second time he has been a conference Golfer of the Week, after firsting winning it back in Spring 2024. 

Jakubcik carded rounds of 67, 69 and 70 at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate. The senior had a clutch up and down on the final hole to give Arizona the victory at Tucson Country Club.

Jakubcik and the rest of Arizona Men's Golf will return to competition on Monday, April 13th at the Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo GC. Jakubcik has won the event back to back years and will look for a third win in a row.
