Historic Weekend For No.15 Wildcats Ending in Two Top-10 Upsets

TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 15 Arizona Men's Tennis delivered a statement weekend for the ages, taking down not one, but two Top-10 opponents, including a historic sweep over No. 2 TCU, to cap off an electric week.
 
The Wildcats set the tone early, opening the week with a dominant victory over No. 28 Columbia. Arizona controlled the match from the start, securing the doubles point before rolling through singles play with wins on five of six courts. The victory marked the program's first-ever win over Columbia, this was just the beginning of what was to come.
 
On Friday against No. 8 Baylor, Arizona once again struck first by claiming the doubles point and never looked back. With relentless energy and composure, the Wildcats powered through singles play to clinch a 4-1 upset.
 
In a program-defining showdown, Arizona faced No. 2 TCU and delivered a performance that will be remembered. After battling to secure the doubles point, the Wildcats surged through singles, winning three straight matches to complete a dominant 4-0 sweep. The victory marked the first time in program history Arizona has defeated TCU.
 
Two Top-10 wins. One unforgettable weekend. Total dominance in Tucson.
 
The Wildcats now turn their attention to the rivalry stage, returning Saturday, March 28 to host No. 25 Arizona State. The match will also celebrate Senior Night for Jay Friend, setting the scene for yet another electric atmosphere.
