Arizona Heads to Texas for the Big 12 Preview

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Beach Volleyball team will head to Texas, March 27-28, for the Big 12 Preview. The SandCats look to keep their momentum going following a 4-0 weekend at home. The Cats are currently on a seven-game win streak.

No.19 Arizona went 4-0 during the Arizona Invitational, defeating Tarleton St. (5-0), UTEP (4-1), Missouri St. (4-1) and San Francisco (3-0). The Wildcats will face Boise State and Florida State on the first day, with the weekend still to be determined.

Big 12 Preview Match Ups 

Boise State – Arizona is 14-3 against the Broncos all time but are currently on a three-game losing streak. Seven of those wins have come home for the Cats. Their last matchup came in the 2025 season where Boise State took the duel 3-2.

Florida State - Arizona has only faced the Seminoles twice  both resulting in losses. The two teams haven't faced off since the 2019 season when FSU took the duel 4-1. The Seminoles are currently ranked No. 5 in the country.

(Fri. March 27) Florida State vs. Arizona 6:00 P.M. MST

Noting the Wildcats

Regan Holmer and Carlie Cisneros
Holmer and Cisneros played as the #1 pair all season so far and have gone 14-5. Their biggest wins of the season have come against #13 GCU and #19 Georgia State. The pair went 4-0 this past weekend, winning their matches against Tarleton St., UTEP, Missouri St. and San Francisco. The pair didn't drop a set as well. Both newcomers this year, Holmer and Cisneros look to continue their success as the #1 pair.

Ashlyn Zilliken and Madeline Walker
Zilliken and Walker have gone 13-6 in their matches all played as the #2 pair. They were the sole point against #5 TCU in the opening weekend and picked up wins against #19 Georgia State and #8 ASU thus far. The pair went 4-0 this past weekend, getting wins against Tarleton St., UTEP, Missouri St. and San Francisco. Ashlyn Zilliken earned her 50th career win over the past weekend. The pair also didn't drop a set during the Arizona Invitational. The Junior and Sophomore pair will look to continue their success.

Sophia Winter and Brooke Boyko
Winter and Boyko paired up for the first time this season as the #5 pair. The pair had a dominant 4-0 weekend. Winter and Boyko also earned three match clinching points for the Cats against Tarleton St., Missouri St. and San Francisco. They also picked up a strong straight-set win against UTEP.
