Arizona Hosts Top-30 Matchups Against UCF, Houston This Weekend

TUCSON, Ariz.- No. 73 Arizona continues Big 12 play this weekend with three matches at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center, hosting No. 25 UCF on Friday before a Sunday doubleheader against No. 29 Houston and No. 65 Grand Canyon.

The Wildcats open the weekend on Friday, facing No. 25 UCF at 12 p.m. MST. The meeting marks the first matchup in program history between Arizona and the Knights. UCF enters the match without any ranked singles players but features the No. 80 ranked doubles team of Bergler/Seye.

Arizona returns to the court Sunday at 11 a.m. MST against No. 29 Houston. The Cougars also do not have any ranked singles players but bring the No. 89 ranked doubles pair of Schouton/Doha Zeghlouli. The Wildcats last faced Houston in 2018, falling 6-1.

Later Sunday, Arizona closes the weekend against Grand Canyon. The Wildcats hold a perfect 13-0 record in the all-time series, with the Lopes still searching for their first win against Arizona. Grand Canyon does not have any ranked singles or doubles players entering the weekend.

Arizona, currently ranked No. 73, enters the weekend without any ranked singles or doubles players. The Wildcats will look to build momentum as they continue Big 12 competition with a pair of top-30 matchups on their home courts.
