TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics earned a 196.400 to beat Arizona State in the final conference meet of the season on Friday night in McKale Center at ALKEME Arena.
 
Arizona won four events during the meet. Sophie Derr took home first on vault with a 9.85 and Aubrey Krohnfeldt was first on bars with a 9.90. On beam, Tirzah Wise earned a 9.875 to place first and Emma Strom posted a 9.95 on floor to take home first place.
 
Vault
Arizona posted a 49.025 on vault in the first rotation. Sophie Derr led the GymCats with a career-high 9.85. Elizabeth LaRusso and Emma Strom both posted 9.825s and Abigayle Martin followed with a 9.775. Ainsley Greever and Jessa Janicke rounded out the rotation with a pair of 9.75s.  
 
Uneven Bars
The GymCats scored a 49.150 on bars in rotation two. Aubrey Krohnfeldt anchored the rotation with a career best 9.90. Hillary Puleo led off the rotation with a career-best 9.85 and Martin also had a 9.85. Derr followed with a 9.80 and Sadie Smith scored a 9.75.
 
Balance Beam 
Arizona earned a 49.175 on beam in the third rotation. Tirzah Wise led the Cats with a 9.875 and Gianna Lenczner posted a 9.85. Derr and Krohnfeldt posted a pair of 9.825s and Janicke rounded out the rotation with a 9.80.
 
Floor Exercise 
In the final rotation, the GymCats posted a 49.050 on floor to secure the win over Arizona State. Strom tied her career high of 9.95 in the anchor position to lead the Cats. Martin posted a 9.85 and Riley Carman scored a 9.80. Wise earned a 9.775 and Elizabeth LaRusso earned a 9.70.
