TEMPE, Ariz. – The GymCats lost to Arizona State in the first round of the Tempe Regional with a 194.900 on Wednesday afternoon. ASU scored a 195.425 to advance to the second round.  
 
Uneven Bars
The GymCats scored a 49.000 on bars to open the meet. Sophie Derr tied her season high of 9.875 and Aubrey Krohnfeldt also posted a 9.875. Abigayle Martin and Delaney Mead added a pair of a 9.775s.
 
Vault
Arizona posted a 48.950 on vault in the second rotation. Jessa Janicke, Elizabeth LaRusso and Martin scored a trio of 9.80s. Derr and Ainsley Greever both posted 9.775. Riley Carman made her debut on vault with a 9.75 for the Cats.
 
Floor Exercise 
The GymCats scored a 48.950. Emma Strom led the rotation with a 9.85 and Martin followed with a 9.825. Derr added a 9.775 while Carman and LaRusso both scored 9.75.
 
Balance Beam 
Arizona earned a 48.000 on beam in the final rotation. Martin scored a 9.875 in the anchor position and Gianna Lenczner earned a 9.800 for the Cats.
