TUCSON, Ariz.- No. 35 Arizona closes out its home slate this weekend with a pair of Big 12 matchups, hosting No. 65 Colorado on Friday at 12:00 p.m. MST before celebrating Senior Day Sunday against No. 34 Texas Tech at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
Arizona opens the weekend against No. 65 Colorado, looking to build on last season's 4-0 sweep over the Buffaloes. The Wildcats hold an 8-6 advantage in the all-time series, while Colorado enters the match without any ranked singles or doubles players.
The Wildcats will wrap up the weekend against No. 34 Texas Tech in one of their most competitive matchups of the season. The Red Raiders feature the No. 55 doubles pair of Yekaterina Dmitrichenko and Hailey Murphy, but do not have any ranked singles players. Arizona faced Texas Tech earlier this season in February, falling 4-3 in a tightly contested match. With both teams sitting just one spot apart in the rankings, Sunday's matchup is expected to be another close battle.
Sunday will also serve as Senior Day, as Arizona honors Tanvi Narendran, Danielle Tuhten and Karissa Ghigiarelli for their contributions to the program.
Arizona (No. 35) enters the weekend led by No. 125 Martyna Ostrzygalo, who was named Big 12 Player of the Week. The Wildcats will look to carry that momentum into a pivotal weekend as they close out their home slate.
