TUCSON, Ariz. - Following a dominant week that helped lead the Arizona men's tennis team to a Big 12 Regular Season Championship and an undefeated conference record, Filip Gustafsson has been named the Big 12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He is the third different Wildcat to earn the honor this season.

Gustafsson played a key role in a pivotal week for Arizona, as the Wildcats secured the Big 12 regular season title with a 4–1 victory over No. 15 UCF before closing the regular season with a road sweep of Oklahoma State to finish 8–0 in conference play.

Against UCF, Gustafsson and Glib Sekachov clinched the doubles point with a win over Paul Colin and Yassine Dlimi, setting the tone for singles play. Gustafsson then delivered a straight-set victory over No. 123 Wissam Abderrahman on Court 2 (6–1, 7–6) to help secure the match and the conference title.

On Sunday against Oklahoma State, Gustafsson continued his strong form with a 6–2, 6–3 win over Nicolas Kobelt on Court 2 as Arizona completed its perfect Big 12 campaign.

Gustafsson and the Wildcats will now travel to Orlando for the Big 12 Tournament, where they will face the winner of UCF and Arizona State on Friday at 11 a.m. (MST).
