Arizona Completes Day One of The Big 12 Championship

The No. 29 Arizona Women's Golf team opened play at the Big 12 Championship on Wednesday, posting a first-round score of 16-over par to sit in a tie for 11th place heading into round two.

Leading the way for the Wildcats in the opening round was Kinsley, who carded a 2-over par round of 74. She is inside the top 25 individually. Maria Cabanillas posted 75 and is currently tied for 31. Nena Wongthanavimok recorded a 77.

Sara Vitasek added a 6-over par 78, finishing with a 39 on both the front and back nines, while Julia Misemer rounded out the lineup with a 8-over par 80.

Arizona will look to climb the leaderboard when round two gets underway Thursday at 6:20am MST.
