TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 20 Arizona improved to 33-13 (14-6 Big 12) with a run-rule win over Houston to secure the Wildcats' fifth Big 12 series win of the season.

The Wildcats scored eight runs on seven hit and drew five walks against the Cougars.
Regan Shockey went 3-for-3 for the second consecutive game to lead the offense and
Sydney Stewart drew three walks.
Grace Jenkins drove in three runs for the Cats.

Arizona scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead over Houston. Jenkins singled through the right side to bring in both runs.

The Cats extended their lead to 5-0 by plating three runs in the third inning.
Tayler Biehl drove in the first run of the inning with an RBI bunt single. Jenkins drove in her third run of the game with an RBI groundout and
Jenna Sniffen followed with an RBI groundout to score the fifth run of the game.

In the fourth, Arizona scored three to make it an 8-0 game.
Sereniti Trice had an RBI groundout to bring in the first run and
Regan Shockey took advantage of an error to score the second run of the inning. Biehl drove in her second run of the game with an RBI groundout to extend the Cats' lead.

Rylie Holder earned the win to improve to 10-4 after tossing a complete-game shutout and striking out a career-high-tying five batters. Holder retired eight straight batters in the middle innings to keep Houston scoreless.
