Wildcats Selected to NCAA Tournament, Set to Face Notre Dame in First Round

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona women's tennis team was selected to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year and will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the opening rounds, competing in the Ohio State regional this weekend.

The Wildcats enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the regional and will face No. 3 seed Notre Dame in the first round on Saturday at 7 a.m. (MST). The winner will advance to face the winner of host Ohio State and Youngstown State, with a spot in the NCAA Super Regionals on the line.

Arizona's selection continues a strong season for the Wildcats, who have consistently competed against top-ranked opponents and positioned themselves for postseason success. The Wildcats compiled an overall record of 20-9, including a mark of 10-3 in Big 12 play, with the 10 victories setting a program record for the most wins in conference play in a regular season throughout history. Arizona concluded the regular season with 10 consecutive victories and defeated Kansas in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, before falling to UCF.

The Wildcats and Fighting Irish are both battle-tested programs, setting the stage for a tightly contested match with advancement on the line.

With postseason experience and momentum on their side, Arizona will look to make a statement in Columbus and push for a deep NCAA Tournament run.
