TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 10 Arizona is set to close out the regular season at home on Thursday, hosting No. 15 UCF at 2 p.m. MST.
The matchup marks the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs, with UCF holding a 3-2 edge in the series. The Wildcats, however, claimed the most recent meeting in dominant fashion, defeating the Knights 4-1 in last season's Big 12 Championship final.
UCF enters the contest ranked No. 15 in the latest ITA rankings, highlighted by two singles players ranked No. 73 and No. 123 nationally. Arizona sits at No. 10 in the team rankings and boasts four nationally ranked singles players along with one ranked doubles pair.
Leading the way for the Wildcats is Jay Friend, who checks in at No. 4 nationally. He is joined in the rankings by Filip Gustafsson at No. 67, Alexander Rozin No. 100, and Zoran Ludoski No. 105. In doubles action, the duo of Glib Sekachov and Gustafsson are ranked No. 30.
