TUCSON, Ariz – Arizona Men's Tennis has earned the No. 1 team ranking in the ITA Southwest Region, marking the first time the Wildcats have finished the season ranked first in the region in team, singles, and doubles rankings.
Arizona's historic season was highlighted by four Wildcats earning regional singles rankings and three doubles teams finishing among the Southwest Region's top six pairs.
Senior Jay Friend concluded his standout career as the No. 1 singles player in the Southwest Region. Junior Alexander Rozin finished the season ranked No. 5, while sophomores Filip Gustafsson and Zoran Ludoski earned rankings of No. 8 and No. 16.
In doubles, the sophomore duo of Filip Gustafsson and Glib Sekachov secured the No. 1 ranking in the region after an impressive season on the courts. Senior Jay Friend and junior Alexander Rozin finished at No. 5, while junior Cole Stelse and freshman Alejandro Arcila earned the No. 6 spot.
The Wildcats dominance across the regional rankings reflects a historic season for Arizona Men's Tennis, as the program continues to establish itself among the nation's elite.
