Wildcats Earn All-American Honors on Day 2 of NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Arizona Wildcats Women's Track & Field earned two Second-Team All-American finishes on Day 2 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene.
Erin Tack finished 16th (163-7/49.87m), earning Second-Team All-American Honors in the javelin.
Sydnie Vanek finished 16th (20-8.5/6.31m), earning Second-Team All-American Honors in the long jump.
The 4x100m relay team of Zakiya Hill, Brooke Lyons, Taylen Wise, and McKenna Watson earned Honorable Mention All-American honors, finishing 20th in the semifinals with a time of 44.51 and did not advance to the final.
Taylen Wise earned Honorable Mention All-American, finishing 18th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.13 and did not advance to the final.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday, with Hollan Powers kicking off her Heptathlon events at 11:45 a.m. with the 100m hurdles. Powers will follow that with the High Jump at 12:45 p.m., the Shot Put at 2:45 p.m., and the 200m at 6:43 p.m. Sam Hala'Ufia will also be in action in the men's discus final at 2:15 p.m, followed by Antone Smith in the men's triple jump final at 5:10 p.m. Mason Lawyer will continue his quest towards a national championship in the 100m final at 5:52 p.m. and the 200m final at 6:37 p.m.
