TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona Women's Tennis Head Coach Ryan Stotland has announced the promotion of Jamie Schroer to Associate Head Coach.
Schroer earned the promotion after four seasons on staff with the Wildcats, including the last three as an assistant coach.
"Jamie has been a wonderful addition to this program," said Stotland. "Ever since she has come back home to Tucson, all we have done is get better and better. Her knowledge combined with her intelligence and her caring and compassionate nature make her the best fit for any program and we are lucky to have her. Her evolution as a coach has been fun to be part of. She just continues getting better and better and I am excited that she is continuing to be part of this wonderful journey. There is no one more deserving of this role than Jamie."
Schroer has played an instrumental role in the resurgence of Arizona Women's Tennis, helping guide the Wildcats to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and back-to-back postseason berths for the first time in over a decade.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to help develop this program and reach new highs," said Schroer. "Growing up in Tucson, the University of Arizona has always been home and I am thankful to work alongside our incredible student-athletes and staff. A special thank you to Coach Stotland for the constant support. I am excited for the future of this program as we build on our recent success and compete at the highest level. Bear Down."
