Arizona Athletics Success In The Classroom Continues with Big 12 Academic Awards

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Big 12 Conference announced a trio of academic awards on Tuesday following the completion of the 2025-26 academic year. Arizona had 90 student-athletes named to the Academic All-Big 12 team, 54 freshmen named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and 33 student-athletes earn the Gerald Lage Award.

The 33 Lage Award winners for the Wildcats are the third-most of any school in the Big 12.

These academic awards, coupled with student-athletes across all sports setting a department record with a 3.413 cumulative GPA for the Spring 2026 semester, provide continued evidence that the 2025-26 academic year was one of the best in the history of Arizona Athletics.
