2019 Honorable Mention Pac-12 All-Academic
Fifth Year (2021-22)
Ending his final season with the Wildcats, Hassey compiled an overall record of 20-11 in singles and 18-12 in doubles. He was the third-leading singles player and tied with Herman Hoeyeraal for first in doubles wins. Hassey, playing in the No. 5 spot, had huge singles wins against USD, ASU, Stanford, Cal and Princeton. Playing mostly at No. 2 doubles, he and Gustaf Strom clinched the doubles point in victorious matches against Texas, Stanford and Washington. Hassey was named an ITA Scholar Athlete in 2022.
Senior (2020-21)
Hassey finished the 2021 season with a 14-7 singles record and a team-high 15 doubles wins, which all came from dual matches. Spending most of his season at the No. 5 spot in singles, Hassey came away with a ranked win in both singles and doubles in his fourth season as a Wildcat.
Junior (2019-20)
Hassey finished the season with a 10-8 singles record with two of those wins coming in dual action. Both of those wins came from the No. 5 spot, where he went 2-2. Hassey went 11-7 in doubles with six of those wins coming in the No. 3spot during the spring season.The 2019-2020 season was cut short due to COVID-19.
Sophomore (2018-19)
Was named Honorable Mention Pac-12 All-Academic ... Finished second on the team with 18 total wins, including 15 wins in dual action ... Went 10-4 at the No. 5 spot in the lineup ... Won 11 of his first 13 singles matches ... Won matches against Arizona State, Utah, UCLA and Stanford ... Went 7-6 in doubles overall and had four wins during the spring season against UC Riverside, UNC Wilmington, New Mexico State and Fresno State.
Freshman (2017-2018)
Compiled a 14-9 overall record in singles play, going 4-5 in dual matches… In doubles play, the freshman finished the season with a 15-28 overall record, good enough to tie him with seven other players (including teammate Igor Karpovets) for 10th most doubles wins in a single season… Hassey played regular season doubles matches with Karpovets (6-5), Trent Botha (0-1), and Filip Malbasic (2-5) to compile a 8-11 record.
High School
As a senior at Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise, Ariz., Hassey was ranked as high as No. 1 in the state and 63rd in the nation amongst high school players ... Hassey was also a quarterfinalist at the Winter National Championships in Phoenix, Ariz.

What made you choose Arizona?
"I decided to play for coach Shields because of the amazing vision he has for the team and the goals/expectations he has. He is starting something new that's really big and I'm super excited to be a part of it. Arizona has been my home for 11 years and it will be an honor to represent my home state."

What does it mean to you that you're going to be a Wildcat?
"The University of Arizona has always been a dream school of mine. Representing my school as a Wildcat through tennis will be a huge honor for me."

What are you looking forward to the most?
 "I'm looking forward to being a part of a team in which we will all support one another and be the best team we can be.  I am excited for the experiences and journey I will be taking with my team and coaches for the next four years."
