2015-16: At the Pac-12 Championships, took sixth in the C final of the 400 IM (4:19.29), eighth in the C final of the 200 IM (2:03.29) and 29th in the 200 fly (2:03.95)…Against No. 2 Stanford and No. 4 Texas, finished second in the 200 IM and third in the 1,000 free…Placed third in the 400 IM versus ASU with 4:20.45…At the Texas Invitational, placed third in the C final of the 200 fly (2:01.34) and seventh in the C final of the 200 IM (2:03.36).

High School: A four-time letterwinner at JSerra Catholic High School…Made the All-County Orange County First Team as a sophomore…Was the CIF Southern Section DI Champion in the 200 IM her sophomore year and the Individual California State CIF Champion in the 500 free her senior year…A 15-time All-American…Part of the National High School Record-breaking 4x100 free relay team as a sophomore…Holds the school record in the 200 IM, 500 free and 4x100 free relay…Team was the 2011 and 2012 CIF DI Champions and the 2015 California DI State Champions…Earned Scholastic All-America honors during her sophomore and junior year…Was a member of the National Honor Society as a sophomore.

Personal: Born Karli Alexandra Thuen in June of 1997 to Eric and Lynne Thuen…Undecided in her field of study, but is interested in something pertaining to the Arts or Design…Likes to read, draw, paint and relax with friends in her free time…Chose Arizona over UCLA, Indiana, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and ASU because she “fell in love with both the campus and swim team, and felt that U of A could offer the opportunity to get an excellent education while swimming with one of the best coaches and teams in the country”.
