Biography
Senior (2017-2018)
Went 14-10 Overall in singles play with a 9-8 dual record…. Played on all courts going 0-2 on one, 1-1 on two, 0-2 on three, 3-0 on four, 2-1 on five, and 3-2 on six… finished the season with an 8-10 overall doubles record going 4-6 in dual play where he played with Andres Reyes (3-0), Shoti Meparidze (0-1), Carlos Hassey (0-1), and Filip Malbasic (1-4)…. Botha’s senior season saw him creep into several Top-25 categories, his 59 total career wins ranks 22nd amongst all players (since 1988)… Botha’s 37 total singles wins ranks 23rd all time, and his 22 total doubles wins ties him for 25th all time.
Junior (2016-2017)
Finished his junior year with a 11-13 overall singles record, going 10-9 in dual play… saw most of his action on court three (7-8)… In doubles, Botha went 8-16 overall with a 7-11 regular season record, mostly with senor Oliver Plaskett (6-9).
Sophomore (2015-2016)
Compiled a 10-15 overall singles record, going 8-11 in dual playing on courts three (2-3), four (4-5), five (1-2), and six (1-1)… Botha went 5-6 in doubles play on the season with a 3-6 dual record… He played matches with Naoki Takeda (2-2), Will Adkisson (0-2), Harry Busby (3-1), and Shoki Kasahara (0-1)

Played his freshman season at Oklahoma State and finished with a record of 3-0 on courts five and six…
Personal
Botha joins the program after spending his freshman season at Oklahoma State, where he recorded a perfect 3-0 record, including clinching the Cowboys’ 5-1 victory over Illinois State on Jan. 18. He finished the season without dropping a single set during singles play. The Cape Town, South Africa native captured both the singles and doubles title at the SAS ITF 2 tournament in 2013. He was ranked 421st in the world at the end of 2014 and has compiled a 17-7 record on the ITF circuit.
