As a Junior: Macdonald competed at the #2 position with Olivia Hallaran, posting a 15-13 season record… Macdonald earned victories against Jacksonville, ASU, Texas A&M, New Mexico, Utah, No. 13 TCU, CSUB, GCU, CUI, UW, Stanford, CAL, Nebraska, No. 1 USC, No. 6 LSU… At the Arizona hosted Pac-12 Beach Championships, Macdonald competed as the No. 10 seed with partner, Olivia Hallaran.
As a Sophomore: Macdonald posted an impressive 16-8 record in her sophomore year... She competed in the #3 position for U of A with partner Sam Manley... Throughout the year she defeated Colorado Mesa, Cal, LMU, Concordia, Cal State University Bakersfield, New Mexico, Cal State University Northridge, Spring Hill, Georgia State and Arizona State... Macdonald also garnered honorable mention on the Pac-12 All-Academic Team... At the first ever Pac-12 Conference Beach Volleyball Championships, Olivia finished 3-2 with wins against ASU, UW, and UCLA.
Macdonald also went to the first ever NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships in Alabama, as the Wildcats slated in as the #6 seed and won in the first round against Georgia State before losing to Hawaii in the second round.
As a Freshman: Recorded a 13-1 record in her first year with the program with wins against Tulane, Nebraska, Bakersfield, Irvine Valley College, Arizona State, Concordia, CSUN, TCU, New Mexico, Cal Poly and Boise State.
High School: A four-year letterwinner at New Plymouth Girls High School in New Plymouth, New Zealand … Team MVP and team captain her junior and senior year of first team … Named MVP of New Zealand U17 beach and indoor team in addition to her U19 beach team … Holds school records in NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3.
Club: Played for North Harbour Volleyball under Fiona Scrimshaw.
