2016: Did not compete during the outdoor season, Hurst competed in three total 60-meter events early on in the season where she placed 27th at the Lumberjack Team Challenge with a mark of 8.09 seconds. She also competed in three long jump competitions, with her best mark coming when she marked 18 ft. - 8 in. (5.68m) at the Power 5 Invitational for a 14th-place finish. 

2015: Indoors, set a new personal best in the long jump at the MPSF Championships with a mark of 18-11.75 (5.78m), good for a seventh-place finish … Earned third place at the NAU Friday Duals in the long jump with a jump of 18-7.25 (5.67m) … Outdoors, earned a spot in the long jump at the NCAA Championships by jumping a mark of 20-5 (6.22m, +2.3w), which is a personal best for her in all conditions … Took 18th place at the NCAA Championships in the long jump with a mark of 19-10.75 (6.06m, +3.1w), good for honorable mention All-American honors … Set a personal best at the LSU Alumni Gold meet in the long jump with a mark of 19-9 (6.01m) and finished in third place … Took first at the Jim Click Shootout in the long jump with a mark of 19-4 (5.89m) … Earned sixth place in the heptathlon at the Jim Click Shootout with 4,704 points, which is a personal best for her … Set a new personal best in the javelin throw at the ASU Invitational with a toss of 101-11 (31.06m) … Earned a personal best in the triple jump at the Arizona-ASU Dual meet with a mark of 39-5 (12.01m), good for a second-place finish … Competed at the Pac-12 Championships in the triple jump and took 14th place with a mark of 38-5 (11.70m).

2014: Indoors, Hurst’s personal-best mark came at the MPSF Championships when she took third place with a mark of 18-8.5 (5.70m) … Hurst jumped 18-7 (5.66m) at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational as well … Outdoors, Hurst competed in the heptathlon at the Jim Click Combined Events, scoring 3,595 points in nine events (she did not finish the 100-meter hurdles) … Hurst’s best jump of the season came a week too late, unfortunately … She had a huge personal-best jump of 19-8.25 (6.00m) at the Tucson Elite Classic, but the deadline to qualify for the NCAA West Preliminaries had passed … Hurst posted a mark of 19-0.5 (5.80m) at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual, finishing in fourth place overall … Hurst placed 11th at the Pac-12 Championships with a mark of 18-9 (5.71m).

HIGH SCHOOL: She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugarland, Texas … She was named the team captain and team MVP her senior year … The Houston Chronicle named Hurst the Athlete of the Week … She was also named the team’s Most Improved Athlete her senior year … She was the Texas Relays champion in the long jump … She was also the district, area and regional champion in the event … She earned a fourth-place finish at the 2013 Texas State Championships … Her personal-best jump of 19-10.75 is a school record … Hurst also ran on the 4x100-meter relay team and took third place at the district meet … She earned a third-place finish at regionals in Gymnastics as well … Her first time competing as a track and field athlete was in ninth grade.

 

PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Dahl and Allen Hurst and was born in Houston, Texas … She has a brother, Michael Rutledge … Her father, Allen, played football at Cheyney University and her brother played football at Texas State University … She aspires to become an engineer.
