IRVINE, Calif.- Junior Michelle Gough and sophomore Lindsay Blau advanced
to Monday's doubles championship match of the ITA Regionals with a pair of
wins Sunday at the UCI Tennis Stadium.
Gough and Blau, seeded fifth in the tournament, knocked off Southern
California's duo of Anita Loyola and Veronika Safarova, 8-4 in their
quarterfinal match.
In the semifinal round, Blau and Gough defeated the seventh-seeded doubles
tandem, USC's Tiffany Brymer and Kara Warkentin, 8-4..
Blau and Gough will take on Arizona State's team of Allison Bradshaw and
Mhairi Brown in the doubles championship match Monday at 11 a.m. MST.
