TUCSON, Ariz. (Sept. 3) - Junior outside hitter Adrian Frediani led all players with

kills and 21 digs as No. 18 San Diego swept Sacramento State, 15-8, 15-8,
15-8, in the Embassy Suites Wildcat Classic in Tucson Friday evening.
USD won its season-opener while dropping the Hornets to 1-1.
Four Toreros reached double digits in kills, including senior outside
hitter Petia Yanchulova, who recorded 13 kills, six service aces and 19
digs. Senior setter Katie Lindquist posted 39 assists.
Senior outside hitter Angela Lewis led the Hornets with 10 kills and 12
digs.
The first day of competition concludes with a 7:30 p.m. contest between
host Arizona and Santa Clara.
