(Oct. 11, 2000) -- UA redshirt freshman cornerback Michael Jolivette was named to CNNSI.com's second annual "Half-America Team" announced on October 10.
Jolivette leads the Pac-10 and is tied for fourth in the nation with four
interceptions. He has broken up 10 other passes and helps spearhead a UA
defense which rates No. 18 nationally in pass efficiency defense and No. 4
against the run.
He was one of two Pac-10 players named to the team, which cites players the
organization feels are worthy of All-America status half way through the
season. Tight end Todd Heap of Arizona State was the other. Two other
league players earned honorable mention - running back Ken Simonton of
Oregon State and linebacker Adam Archuleta of ASU.
