TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona Athletics Department launched its new web site today, October 18. Arizona Athletics recently joined the FANSonly Network, a company which now handles coverage of all Pac-10 Intercollegiate sites and the Pac-10 Conference official site.
"Arizona is excited about joining the FANSonly Network," said Athletics Director Jim Livengood. "FANSonly has shown us its ability to be a successful Internet Sports Service Provider. When FANSonly began more than five years ago, the University of Arizona was one of the first to join in its effort and we are again, pleased with their business model and look forward to building upon our existing relationship."
The new site will have many exciting features, in addition to up-to-date press releases about athletic events, the site will include an on-line ticket sales link, the CATS E-news (individuals can sign up to have an e-mail newsletter sent directly to their own e-mail), schedules, free e-mail, rosters, player interviews, special events, fan polls, auctions, and TV and radio clips.
The new site will also have a new web address, ArizonaAthletics.com, formerly arizcats.com. It is important to brand "Arizona" and by including "Arizona" in the web site address, fans will be able to remember it more quickly and it will be easy to find the official athletics web site.
