Oxford, Miss.- The Arizona baseball team defeated St. Francis (N.Y.) 3-1 in its final game of the Ole Miss Invitational in Oxford, Miss., Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats (14-10) rapped out six hits in the victory and Brian Pemble picked up his third victory of the season in relief.

Offensively, Matt Abram broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning with a two-run home run, his fifth of the season. Senior Ernie Durazo continued his consecutive hit streak with a first inning double to right. The Tucson native is now second on the all-time list trailing only Jack Daugherty's 28 in a row in 1981-82.

The Wildcats return to the road next weekend when they head to Los Angeles to take on UCLA in their Pac-10 Conference opener Friday-Saturday.
