More than 150 University of Arizona student-athletes were honored for their academic achievement Monday, April 9, at the department's annual academic awards luncheon.
Those cited earned 2000 Mary Roby Academic Achievement Awards for maintaining consecutive semesters of 3.0 or better grade point averages last spring and fall, or in reaching that plateau for their initial semester as a first-year student.
Fifteen students received 2000 Distinguished Scholar Awards for continuing students who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2000 and Fall 2000 semesters, or freshman who earned a 4.0 in their first semester.
