Fox Sports Net's "Beyond the Glory" documentary series will feature former UA basketball star Sean Elliott in its June 10 show. The segment airs at 8 p.m. (local time in all regions).
Elliott, the 1989 John R. Wooden Award winner as national player of the year, is a former Tucson schoolboy basketball star, a member of the first UA team to make it to the Final Four, a first-round NBA draft choice and a two-time NBA all-star. His serious bout with kidney disease in late 19999 required a transplant, with an organ donated by his yonger brother, Noel.
The show traces Elliott's maturation from youth to NBA stardom, and includes highlights and interviews with his family, friends and teammates, among others.
