TUCSON, Ariz.- The defending Pac-10 co-champion Arizona volleyball team will have three of its matches televised on Fox Sports Net during the 2001 season. All televised matches will be shown on a tape delayed basis with viewing times to be announced later.
Fox Sports Net will feature 10 Pac-10 contests over the course of the season, including UA's matches at UCLA on Sept. 28, vs. USC in McKale Center on Oct. 25 and at Washington on Nov. 9. A fourth match, against California, could be picked by the network as its wild card on Nov. 16.
Arizona is looking to defend its first ever Pac-10 championship in 2001. Four starters return from last season's squad, including Pac-10 Player of the Year Dana Burkholder, Jill Talbot and Lisa Rutledge. The Wildcats will kick off the 2001 season in Gainesville, Fla., at Florida's Suntrust Invitational against South Florida on Aug. 31.
