cutting short a San Jose State rally to help Cal State Northridge beat the
Spartans, 4-1, on day two of Arizona's round-robin Worth Invitational

Northridge took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third. Janine Grund and

San Jose State loaded the bases for the second time in the seventh, and
pushed across a run with Becca Baldridge's infield grounder. But Wheeler
got a fly out from Veronica Ramos to end the game. The Spartans (5-9) stranded
nine runners in the game and are 0-3 in the tournament. Cal State
Northridge (10-8) improved to 2-1 in the tourney.
