Arizona All-American pitcher Jennie Finch, the defending National Player of
the Year as the Honda Softball Award winner, has been named one of 10
finalists for the inaugural USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award.
The governing body of softball in the United State, the Amateur Softball
Association pared a group of 25 nominees to 10 semi-finalists and will
announce three finalists on May 31, with with winner to be announced June
7 during the ASA National Council meeting in Reno. Nev.
The 10 semi-finalists, in alphabetical order:
