Roby Awards for 2001 were presented to 177 student-athletes for their academic achievements during the spring and/or fall semesters. In addition, 20 student-athletes were honored with the Distinguished Scholar Award.
The Roby Awards are presented annually, in April, at the Mary Roby Academic Achievement Awards Luncheon. Continuing student-athletes who earn at least a 3.0 grade point average or better during consecutive spring and fall semesters, or freshman or transfers who earn a 3.0 during their first fall semester of enrollment, are eligible for the award. The Distinguished Scholar Award is given to Roby Award winners who maintain a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. over the same time-period.
