SEATTLE -- Adia Barnes, the most celebrated women's basketball player ever at the University of Arizona, won an WNBA championship as the Seattle Storm defeated the Connecticut Sun 74-60 in the decisive third game Tuesday night.

After falling in the first game of the series 68-64, the Storm rebounded with back-to-back wins to claim the championship.

The first women's basketball player inducted into the University of Arizona Hall of Fame, Barnes is the all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,237 points. As a senior in 1997-98, she was named Pacific-10 Player of the Year. She led the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding in each of her four seasons and was a two-time All-American.
