TUCSON--Washington continued a strong hitting
performance and pitcher Tia Bollinger tossed a
two-hitter to lead the Huskies past Florida
International, 8-0 in a softball game resumed Saturday
morning after rain halted play Friday afternoon.
Designated player Kristen Rivera hit her second home
run in as many games and UW's fifth in the span to
open scoring in the first inning. The Huskies (8-0)
collected nine other hits including a two-run double
by Jaime Clark in the bottom of the sixth and an RBI
single by Kathy Fiske to end the game on the eight-run
mercy rule.
