TUCSON--Veronica Roberts singled through a drawn-in infield to bring in Rachel Keeney from third and give Minnesota a 2-1 victory over Florida International in the Pepsi Arizona Softball Classic Saturday.

Hailee Nanchy homered with two outs in the top of the first to give the Golden Gophers (7-0) a 1-0 lead.

FIU (4-9) tied the game in the fifth with a single by Meagan Dontrich and a two-out, run-scoring double by Nicole Dubovic.
