Jimenez joined the staff in late summer and works as a graduate assistant on the defensive staff, helping Steve Bernstein in the secondary.
He was a graduate assistant at Northern Arizona University in 2002 and was in a similar capacity at the University of Redlands, Redlands, Calif., during the 2001 season. At Redlands he also assisted the staff's video coordinator.
In 2000, Jimenez was the receivers coach at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, plus also served as video coordinator.
He received a bachelor's degree in history from WNMU in 2000, a master's degree in education administration from Redlands in 2002 and was working toward a doctoral degree in international relations at NAU before joining the UA staff.
While in Flagstaff, Jimenez completed an internship with Coconino County, assisting in organizing the town hall meeting and performing research and a report concerning the Federal Patriot Act of 2001.
