SOPHOMORE (2000-01): At the 2000-01 Pac-10 Championships placed fourth in the consolation final of the 200 back, 12th overall, with the time of 1:50.73... Also at Pac-10s placed seventh in the consolation finals of the 100y back, 15th overall, where he swam to a time of 50.68... During the Texas Invitational, he had his best time of the year and his career in the 200y back at 1:49.80, making him Arizona's second fastest returning 200y backstroker... A recipient of the University of Arizona Mary Roby Academic Achievement Award for 2000-01.
FRESHMAN (1999-2000): Competed in two events at the 2000 Pac-10 Championships, the 200 medley relay and the 100 back... Placed 10th in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:33.20 and 12th in the 100 back with a time of 50.98... The third-fastest Arizona swimmer in the 100m backstroke (58.15) and the fourth fastest in the 200m backstroke (2:06.15).
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in swimming for Coach Dave Perry at Fenwick High School, in Chicago, Ill... 1999 Illinois state champion in the 100 back...
