John Perrin is the Athletics Department's senior financial officer. He was promoted in August 1991 from assistant to associate status and is in charge of departmental financial affairs, a post he assumed in 1980. His duties expanded in 1993 to include additional responsibility for other department-wide supervision. He came to UA from NBC-TV in Burbank, Calif., where he was business manager. During his tenure at NBC, he was responsible for West Coast production facilities' budgets and finances from 1972-79. As financial officer, Perrin helped nurture the UA Athletics' budget from $6 million to its current total of some $30 million. Perrin and his wife, Jeannie, have two sons, John Jr. and Michael. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from New Mexico State University. Perrin is a native of Roswell, N.M.
