2005 (Senior): Enters his senior season as a team leader, especially among the distance runners... Expected to play a significant role for the Wildcats at the conference and regional levels... 2004 (Junior): Enjoyed several very strong performances during his junior season... Posted the team’s second best time in the 1,500 meters (3:51.77) and the mile run (4:06.26)... Member of the school record-setting distance medley relay team during the indoor season (9:34.27)... 2003 (Sophomore): Placed 26th at the Aztec Invitational during the 2002 cross country season... Had season’s best times of 1:53.63 in the 800m and 3:51.11 in the 1,500m... Placed third at the MPSF Championships in the mile... 2002 (Freshman): Did not compete during the 2001 cross country season... Ran a season’s best time of 1:56.54 in the 800m during the indoor season.

 

High School

Lowell High School, San Francisco, Calif.: Earned eight varsity letters in high school between cross country and track & field... Named Most Valuable Athlete for the 2000 cross country and track seasons... Named Athlete of the Meet at the 2000 Meet of Champions and at the Bay Area Top Eight Meet... Placed second at the 2000 California state championships in the 1,600m... Earned Golden State High honors in chemistry... Finished his high school career with personal best times of 1:53.7 in the 800m, 4:10.9 in the 1,600m and 9:28 in the 3,200m... Holds school records in the freshman and sophomore 1,600m, as well as in the varsity 800m, 1,600m, 4x1,600m relay and distance medley relay... Cross country and track teams were first place in the San Francisco section for four years.

Majoring in East Asian Studies with an emphasis on Japan with minors in psychology and political science.
