Swimming & Diving

1996-2000

In her four years as a Wildcat, Denali Knapp was a 23-time All-America selection meaning she finished in the top sixteen in all of her events that she competed in during an NCAA Championship. She took home the NCAA title for the 200 freestyle relay in 1997, the 200 & 400 freestyle relays in 1998 and the 400 relay in 1999. Denali was also a Pac-10 Champion twice in her Arizona career.

Denali’s team first attitude was instrumental in the success Wildcat women’s swimming had in the late 1990’s. During her career, the Arizona teams finished the NCAA Championship meet no worse than fourth place and were crowned runners up twice. The Wildcats also dominated the Pac-10 conference during Denali’s tenure finishing in the top four all four seasons and winning the Pac-10 title in 2000.
