Tucson, Ariz - The Arizona women's tennis team (12-11, 3-5) wrapped up its regular season Saturday afternoon at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center, with a 5-2 loss to rival Arizona State (13-8, 4-4).
The Wildcats got off to a slow start Saturday as they were swept in doubles.
In singles, Arizona was only able to claim two points. On court four, junior Kasia Jakowlew defeated Rebecca Rankin, 7-6, 6-4. Senior, Stephanie Balzert put the second point on the board for the Cats when she defeated ASU’s No. 74 Roxanne Clarke.
The Wildcats will next play at the Pac-10 Championships in Ojai, Calif., starting on Thursday, April 27th.
